single 40mm solex? Wed, 02 November 2005 12:16 Go to next message
can i use one 40mm solex carb of an 18R-G to feed my 2.4 litre high comp G200 gemmini? i know it will be less than optimal..but i have one good carby, can get a single DCOE manifold cheaply, and the motor at the moment has the stock gemini carbi on it, so anything bigger will be better!

i was thinking..get the carb and the manifold on..see how it goes..then hook up a spare elec fuel pump i have, and get a fuel pressure regulator..tune it with a gas analyser, preferably on a dyno or some rollers of some sort Wink

i want it to be a little better than what it is now..but don't want to drink the juice like it used to with twin 40mm on it (although it did run 14.3 with twins..)

No reason you can't do this. Maybe try choking them out to about 37mm? I think the standard chokes are about 34mm.
