Speedometer for Celsior

Hi there,
One of my friends has recently bought a Celsior (I think it is a C-F package model) and he is not happy with the 180 kmph limit shown on the speedometer !!
He says the Aussie LS 400s came with a 240 or 260 kmph speedometer and says he feels he's going very fast even when he's doing 100 or 110 kmph .... since these speeds are towards the right, or more towards the end of the speedometer !!
He wants to know if the Aussie LS 400 speedometer could be installed in his car .... to get rid of this feeling !
Anyone has any thoughts on this ?? Please do post them here and soon !!
Thanks.

The Celsior and LS400 are essentially the same car, so I'd be very surprised if the speedometer wasn't a direct swap.
Someone on the Lextreme forums will know for sure though.

Ok ... that seems right, since the cars are almost the same. However, where can this be done, and approximately how much would this cost ?? Does the car have to be taken to a Lexus dealership or just any normal garage which services all types of cars ??
Remember my friend and I are in Melbourne ... so if anyone has any ideas on where we can take the car to get this done, please do post it.
Thanks.

i expect that if youre careful enough, you should be able to do it yourself. (with a few mates of course).
Especially if its plug and play.
