firstly work out a budget on what you can afford and how long you want the car off the road.
I would say most likely engine people use would be the 3t-gteu 160hp stock. IF you want more information search

I know you said that you wanted an NA engine, but the 4AGZE (supercharged) engine is really nice in an old celica.
They are reliable, cheapish, well supported and dont use too much fuel.

well, since you have the 1GFE in there, why not chuck in a 1GGE?
The only problem with this is availability. I have no idea if they ever made it to Thailand in any form. In the six cylinder vein, a 1JZ-GE would be cool, but maybe too long for the TA22 and could bugger up the weight distribution.
If money and time were no object, I'd say 3SGE. Cheap engine, but they were only in RWD form in Altezzas, so there is plenty of fabrication involved. As mentioned above, the easy two are 2TG or 3TGTE, but they can use a bit of fuel and need a bit of work to inspire.
