I agree... 7.5 sucks the big one. 
At uni everyone has loaded the new (7.5) messenger instead of the old one and due to something with the network it refuses to work. So far i've found 3 computers in the building that have 7.0 loaded and they work fine (There's about 100 PC's in PA building).
I'd like to know how to reload the old version too.

I fukkn hate messenger fullstop!
My brother uses his on my computer and im sick to death of people hassling me to chat with them cause they can see im online i also hate getting alerts whenever some fag signs in.FFS i tried every setting and cant find anything to stop it???And yes I stopped it from signing in automatically..

go to control panel, add/remove programs, and check that you don't have two versions of MSN...
there's the usual one yu sign in, and then like a background version that signs you in anyway, so ppl can still see you are online....
well.. at least thats what it looked like in japanese

im considering using skype.
If msft did upgrade the messenger program during the latest reinstall, there would be no reason for this 7.5 add sponsored BS.
skype might be the go.
For some reason - the upgrade (post install) from XP spk1 was no longer available when needed. Might consider running NO messenger app.

i dunno if this was mentioned above but mircosoft messenger signs me in then msn messenger signs me in straight after which is very annoy when i see ppls alerts coming up twice when they sign on...ive tried to delete mircosoft messenger a number of ways but it still does it...
any help?
