a few 4agze q's Tue, 08 November 2005 06:53 Go to next message
i just picked up a sprinter running a 4agze (dizzy type) and a haltech e6k. the car was running a huge monster tacho which ive removed but im unsure if the factory tach can run from the coil signal. any ideas on modifications or if it will run. also the SC switch is currently a manual switch on the dash, anyone had slutions for running a load based setup like the factory?

dude i read somewhere on this forum that some1 was selling a gadget that allowed the signal to run with the standard sprinter dash, was about $97 plug n play type.
do a search on tech section 'gze tacho' or sunthin

nothin is plug and play for the sprinter

i have a device which i have used on sprinters with 4agzes and std ecu

but if u havea dizzy type 4age u should be able to connect the black tacho wire straight to the neg side of the coil

its only on multiple coils u need this device

to get the sc working u need to get one of the haltechs aux outputs to trigger the sc relay

im guessing that whoever did the wiring was a dumbass and didnt know what to do

why have it on a fukin switch

for a basic setup just fit the switch to yr accel pedal
so it cuts it on when u gave full throttle

much easier unless u want to spend money and do it properly

How to switch your SC.

As sideshow says, your dash tacho should work fine from the dizzy.

And the search function (or Google) is your friend.

tacho works, like i thought (and you guys too). it just wasn't hooked up Razz thanks hen, thats exactly what i was after, couldn't find anything on the search for some reason though, cheers. from what i can gather the output of your circuit is high when the ecu aux out goes low (ie reversed) is that right?
