Reminder/invite: TCC Qld Cruise to Noosa Hillclimb Sunday 13 November

Reminder and an open invitation to folks wanting to join some Toyota Car Club Qld members heading up to watch the Noosa Hillclimb this coming Sunday!
It's an early start so we dont miss much of the day's racing. Gates open at 8am for early birds.
Important note: there is an gate fee of $12.50 and any parking is a fair hike from the gates - so bring a hat, chair, sunscreen, walking shoes and a wallet. There's food+drinks on sale and being a national park, no fires or smoking.
oh, you'll do a lot walking, even if you use the courtesy bus just going up/down the track or wandering thru the service park.

Southside:
Gather at Motorara 4x4xMore at Salisbury (Beaudesert Rd) for a 6am departure (which could mean anything from 6am to 6:30am). Mob then heads to the Carseldine Caltex via:
up Beardesert Rd to Ipswich Rd towards city
turn right at Hungry Jacks at Annerley
follow signs to the freeway
take freeway past city
take Hale Street exit and then take Kelvin Grove Rd exit
follow Enoggera Rd up past Alderley Railway Station
cross railway line
take the 3rd exit at roundabout, heading towards Stafford
Road become Appleby Road
follow all the way up past the Hypermarket and join Gympie Rd to head north
Stay in 2 left-hand lanes and pull into Caltex after 3rd set of lights.
Should arrive by 6:40am
Northside:
Gather at Carseldine Caltex (Gympie Road) for a (no later than) 7am departure.
Route to Sunshine coast:
follow Bruce Highway up to Mooloolabah Exit (exit after Ettamogah Pub)
take exit to Sunshine Motorway and drive east
after crossing bridge (TAFE is off to far left) do NOT turn to take motorway north
at lights/end-of-motorway turn left into Brisbane Rd
turn right at Mooloolaba Esplanade
head towards Mooloolabah beach and waste time trying to find a park and some food
have breakfast on the beach
Sunshine Coast folk: meet somewhere along Mooloolabah beach?
Head to track:
return to the Sunshine Motorway
Motorway morphs into the Emu Mountain Road (on my UBD anyway)
follow all the way til it joins the Noosa-Eumindi Road
turn left (away from Noosa)
turn right into Beddington Road (goes past Noosa Valley Gold Course)
road morphs into Wust Road
turn right into Sunrise Road
road ends at Cooroy-Noosa Road and the top section of the closed track
Parking:
a - find convenient spot along Sunrise Road, or
b - continue up to Cooroy-Noosa Road, turn left towards Noosa, parking at bottom of hill on either side of road.
After racing:
take Cooroy-Noosa Road into Noosa
road turns right at Sportin complex (on left) nad becomes Poinciana Ave
road turns right, becomes Memorial Ave
cross bridge, becomes Hilton Tce
at roundabout take 1st left
cross bridge, road becomes Gympie Tce
find convenient park in side streets on left
find fish-n-chips shop
find spot under trees to stuff face with junkfood!
Going home:
return along Gympie Tce west
cross bridge, road becomes Hilton Tce
at roundabout take first left - Eumindi Road
take road all way back to Bruce Hwy
head south to go home.
If you live up Mooloolabah way, suggestions for a food place that open early would be greatly appreciated.
Usual advice:
-print this page out!
-bring a mobile phone, UHF radio, hat, sunscreen, portable chair, camera & wallet
-dont bunch up on the road
-feel free to lead if you know the route!

wat are the odds, I met a few of you on your way to the racing on sunday. when i didnt know wat time yous were going

Yeah that was a pretty cool coincidence. At one point I saw there was a gold-ish coloured soarer behind you, I thought he was tagging along for the cruise as well!

yeah i thought he was with you guys ! untill he turned off towards buderim.
so wat was the actual racing like ? I didnt actualy get to watch any of it after forgetting to bring shoes and realiseing it cost 12 bucks to get in.
