turbo oil feed position Wed, 09 November 2005 05:17 Go to next message
im in the process of getting my exhaust manifold made, but ive ran into a problem the only way for the turbo to fit in the engine bay without hacking up the bonnet is to mount the core so the oil feed/return's sit on a 90degree angle, the only problem i see is oil sitting in the bottom of the core or would the pressure keep pushing the hot oil out and replace it with cooler oil

thanks

its a gt30r if that helps

The oil drain must be at the bottom!

Surely a tight right angle bend straight out of the core for the oil feed would help????????/

nah the oil feed hitting on the bonnet is not the problem, the manifold is himount and if the manifold is extended to change the position it will hit on the bonnet most likely

if that helps explain things, so the oil line must be vertical, im 90% sure i "think" i remeber reading it in the destructions it came with but there lost haha

Sorry I am very confused now. You can rotate the core independently of the compressor housing and exhaust housing so I am not understanding the problem.

Sorry.
