Was considering getting a cam for my ra65 22re. Does anyone know a place in Australia that does them pretty cheap?
There are some on ebay US meant for truck 22re's...would these be giving any kind of different characteristics becasue they were meant for trucks?

The 20R, 21R and 22R motors, only got race preped in America.
Crane Cams have a local importer, here in Adelaide.
they can suply mild to wild cams for these motors.
L C Engineering in America, can also suply these Cams,
even TURBO Cams for them.
Cam specs are the same as for trucks and cars.

FWIW, Crow Cams offer a cam for the 22RE, and I ran the specs by some celica/22R folk in the US and they said the cam was probably worse than stock
Also, IIRC anything above the next step after stock will require porting etc. Umm ask on the old celica club email list @ www.celicas.net, they're the R-series experts.

yeah, we got real engines (1g-gte), so we don't need to muck around with R engines (18R aside)
