4agze cam cover mix up?

Ive just bought an aw11 4agze halfcut with no year give. However, ive been reading up on the models and apparently theyre (the gze) meant to have unpainted camcovers.
Now my problem goes by that the covers on mine are painted red and black simular to the last tvis models.
Any ideas

Cam covers are interchangeable, so you may have NA covers on a ZE (ZE ones say supercharged on them too).
But just check the side of the engine to see that it has a supercharger.

Maybe the previous owner painted them (not an odd thing to happen to 4age/ze motors).

the aw11 bigport 4agze comes with red and black writing on the inlet cam cover. the later smallport cam covers are not painted.

pictured is a later smallport 4agze, not a aw11 bigport 4agze.

Thanks guys, so ive got a bigport 4agze like the gen 1's.
And bah to who ever said i got a aw11 4age, cos its got a dirty great intercooler hanging over the top of the sc.
Now ive just got to find a way to get it out. Anoyone noticed the lack of room in the aw11's?

bah, there's plenty of room to work on the aw11!! 
when i got my halfcut back in 99 i had it up on some crates and after unbolting everything that needed to be, i dropped the engine/gearbox to the shed floor useing a block and tackle. then useing the block and tackle lifted the halfcut up in the air and dragged the engine/gearbox out of the way.

Bah! my half cut is stuck on a trailer with no forklift, block and tackle or crane to get it off.

bah!! well your not set-up very well are you...
presumeing you have a shed? place some old tyres on the floor of the shed and with the help of a few mates slide/push it off the trailer onto the tyres. least then it's in the shed ready for you to hire a block and tackle or engine crane or something of the sorts.
whats the engine going into?

dont all the gze covers have supercharger written on it anyway?
best way to check is to see if it has a supercharger and interwarmer/cooler

Yair mines got supercharger written on it in RED!
Anyway, motors goin into ae71 i got off ebay for $100, weird huh cos its got a $1500 motor waiting to go init, but its all sorted, cos me neighbor has a good block and takle setup im goin to borrow but its the mate which are a prob. miles from anywhere and half the time there around theyre to shitface to do anything but mutter and trade insults.
Should be good tho once she running, and i look outside right now and see the blacktop begging for some more colour!
