3TGTE wiring issues Fri, 11 November 2005 09:39 Go to next message
Hi, hope that someone could help me with the wiring on the standard ignitor on the 3TGTE.

here is a simple diagram of the Ignitor, and each wire/connection numbered.

IGNITOR:
----------
1. 6.
2. 7.
3. 8.
4. 9.
5.

----------
1.GREEN - round green 3 pin plug with 2. and a brown wire which is cut off
2.BLUE - same as 1.
3.WHITE - with 4. to dizzy
4.RED - with 3. to dizzy
5.BROWN short wire (to a coil?)
6.BLACK short wire (to a coil?)
7.YELLOW -joins into 8. and goes to loom joining to IG
8.PINK refer to 7.
9.BLACK short wire (to a coil?)

Dizzy has a white and brown, which colour to which?

2 coils, two + and two -. what goes where?

coil1 + (10.) coil1 - (11.)
coil2 + (12.) coil2 - (13.)

14. There is a red wire in the loom which i assume would go onto one of the coils also? (wire joins ignition relay/THW black plug at manifold)

On the car:
15. Black/red (coil + )
16. black (coil - )
17. black/yellow (resistor + )

hope someone can help

Thanks..
