Engine oil flush Sun, 13 November 2005 08:49 Go to next message
hey guys
i want to put in some motul 300V oil into the engine which cost lots of $$$
just wanted to know if the nulon oil flush affects the new oil in anyway???
for example, add nulon oil flush into engine with old oil, drain and refill with new oil

if theres old oil mixed with the oil flush still in the engine, can this make the new oil change its properties like make it thin???

the stuff im using is in link below

Whatever's left is going to be VERY diluted by the time the new oil goes in, like a drop in a bucket, hardly enough to thin the oil I would imagine.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though...

Yep thats pretty much the case...
If you want to be 100% sure its gone just chuck in a fill worth of cheap multigrade oil and go for a lap around the block before adding your good oil.

When you're using the engine oil flush stuff just keep an eye on the oil pressure because if your engine / oil pump are getting on a bit your oil pressure could fall to a point that could damage the engine.

The brand Inter-Ject works great.

There are some dealers for it about.

They do from fuel system treatments to engine flush and cooling system flush. We use it at work and its great stuff.
