I just connect up the air-con and re-gas the compressor of my sprinter. is 101 GZE conversion.
Every time when I switch on the air-con. My car will over heat!
I already check the radiator , it didn't leak and I got 2 Fans on it. They all working porperly.
Anyone can help?

well the engine will work harder to pull another compressor to life when its switched on
are you certain the aircon isnt switching your thermofans off for some strange reason?
are your pulleys/compressor standard ae86 sized?
when u say overheat, a gauge tells you? whats the degress celcius difference?

Thanks for reply mate!
I am sure the fans switching on with the air-con compressor on!
I am using standard compressor pulley. But I change the NEVO 175MM Pulley.
I read the temperature from the cluster but not the gauges.
However when I normal driving, the needle just in the middle.
When the air-con switch on, it keep increasing the temperauter without stopping.

Just sounds like the extra aircon load/heat is putting your car over the limit. Check all fans are working properly if so you might need a radiator flush or better radiator or better fans/ducting.

hey wilson
You still have the camry radiator setup?, then it should be fine cooling capacity wise. Best to get it checked out by a radiator place. A flush is probably gonna fix it.
OR
You have no thermostat/broken thermostat and the water is going through the radiator without cooling down properly.

Check to see if ur fans are turning the right way. the a/c one might be turning in reverse?? stoping air going throught the radiator. You may have an earthing prob, see if the temp gauge does the same thing with the heater fan on full but no a/c.

I still using the camry radiator setup.
Thx max power! I will have a check on the direction of the fan.
and don't think that sth wrong with the temp gauge as my car never heat up when the air-con off!

Your temp gauge probably is ok is might just be a problem that shows it's head when there's addtional electrical load on the system, my AE82 fuel gauge drops rapidly when i turn my rear demister on, ( it'll be a bad earthing problem but i'm too lazy to hunt it down and fix it)so i don't use it

is not an electrical problem - the guts of your radiator are blocked. Take to radiator shop and get core cleaned or replaced - if you remove it yourself you'll save a few dollars in labour.

Thx Max power! They find out that the buddy Air-con shop make both of my fan reverse way!
Now the problem is fixed.
