Odyssey number 5 and Internationalist and even a couple songs off Double Allergic (pick you up) absolutely shit on Vulture street.

Basically Vulture street they moved to a slightly heavier style and to a more feel good music style. The lyrics lack meaning and the songs just aren't as good. Songs like these days, my kinda scene are great.

I rarely listen to Vulture Street but always love to listen to odyssey number 5 and internationalist whilst studying and playing the computer/xbox.

Thankyou for your enlightening contribution to the thread but i am pretty sure he asked for powderfinger fans to reply.

As for SOAD ok but most of there shit sounds the same.

Earlier powderfinger stuff is quite different to most other rock/popular music released. Not to mention the lyrics omg might actually have meaning.

i voted odessy, but you really should have put them all up if you wanted a vote for the best one.
i like SOAD's earlier stuff but not a fan of the new stuff.
bernard fannings solo stuff sucks a fat one. and it gets so much air time its unbelievable.

Both very good songs might have to go these days or my kinda scene though, they're all good songs, out of Odyssey No. 5 and Internationalist there would only be one ot two songs i don't like that much, i'll still listen to them but not as good as the rest.

so you didn't get the response you wanted from us then Laughing . Oh well, its not bad i just don't think it's a great album, more commercialised and just designed more to attract a broader audience rather than make a meaningful statement or some depth in the songs.

good music is good music, regardless of genre(except for dance/trance/techno etc). i like heaps of different music. I do agree with coffee about not having powderfinger at bdo though. i do like them, but when i go to see live music i like it to have a bit more energy and pace to it.
