I was thinking as a short term fix, do you recommend Chemi-weld or not, my old man used it in his 253 vh sle and it lasted 5 years until he sold it,
Confused

chemi weld is effective stuff... gooooold as they say..
but it might coat inside of engine too... but but.... meh, it's only a K motor Wink

actually, now that i remember.....

the welch plug of which you speak is behind the flex plate, so the flexplatye actually covers most of it up.... the one in my sisters car was GONE... but didn't lose much water as the plate sealed it mostly....

so yeah, chemiweld may fix it, but it will be sealing between the block and the flex plate Wink

definitely replace it when the new box goes in tho, and check the ones under the exhaust... i managed to lightly tap a screwdriver thu the aforementioned ones... not pretty...
