1GGTE clutch issue Thu, 17 November 2005 07:51 Go to next message
hey guys, just wondering if anyone would be able to offer advice on a noise with my clutch... i've only jsut got the car running, and on the road, but while the clutch is engaged (foot off the clutch in gear) it makes a chirping sound.. like a cicada, or cricket... as soon as you apply SOME pressure (only a bit, like taking up the slack) the noise stops... is this an adjustment issue? or is my clutch farked??? if so, can anyone suggest a aftermarket replacement clutch/flywheel??

cheers

i have the same problem with mine i couldnt find out which clutch kit to use so i had one built its stage three i had to use a toyota t100 pickup truck clutch plate and a toyota corolla pressure plate they used a odd ball throw out bearing so mine makes the same noise. its located in the tranny between the clutch and pressure plate.
