Voltage Regulator 1g-gte Ra23

Once again, putting the 1g into the ra23 and the ra23 with the 18r had it's own seperate voltage regulator, which can still plug into the standard loom. However, I'm led to believe that the 1g has a voltage reg in the standard alternator. Is this correct? If so, has anyone got the wiring diagram for the voltage reg section on the 1g?

Daniel,
Yes the 1G alternator has a built in voltage regulater. There is 3 pins on the back of the alternater, 1 is IGNITION, 1 is +12V, and the other is the charge light. The 3 wires you hook them into are in the 18R voltage regulater plug(in the Celica chassis loom)....1 is white, 1 is yellow with white stripe and the other is black with yellow stripe.
Ignition Pin----->Black with yellow stripe
ALTERNATER PLUG- +12V pin--------->White
Charge light pin->Yellow with white stripe
Hope this helps...
Phill
