T50 REBUILD

Well peoples..i blew my first t50 yesterday.
Ive been searching and besides changing to a W box ..
is there any other options available..
for eg..upgrading the t50 gear sets inside or somthing like that?

In order of increasing cost:
- Drive your rooted box anyway (not a good idea) - Free
- Replace with another 2nd hand T50 - $200
- Rebuild your T50 - $600-1000
- Fit a W5* - $1000-1200
- Get a hardcore gearset fitted to your T50 - $Lots
...
...
- Hollinger 6 speed sequential dogbox - $Lots more

Apparently keeping good fresh oil in your box extends its life too.

luckily i have a spare t50 , i was searching and im trying to contact someon who can get new strengethened gears sets for thr t50..
at this stage it looks like a t50 is going back in for now..
and start saving for the w box..
if anyone knows anyone who can do something with the t50 let me know..

Check a few mags esp. the rally ones. OS Giken, TRD, PPG, Albins, Hollinger, Modena are all brands that spring to mind for gearsets, but you are usually talking big dollars.
Just get on the phone and have an ask around.

is this the full 5 speed with the 1:1 5th gear?
or only the 3 speed one?

Off topic I know, but how the hell do they get a 1:1 5th?
Or more importantly, how the hell do they get a non-1:1 4th? Stuffing with the shifter forks and stuff? or swapping the gearstick locations for 4th and 5th?
