Could I get some info on these mr2 engines? the 2nd gen 3sge to be exact.
All I know is something like
156hp [118kw-120kw?]
redlines at 7300 rpm
2 ltre twin cam 16 valve
90-93
I would like to know everything about this engine
Would anyone have a service manual as well?
What oil would you put in, spark plugs, oil filter etc!
Pretty hard finding info on it, seeing as it seems to be all about the 3sgte. and american non-turbo mr2's have 5sfe's

I know what you mean, It is a real pain getting any usefull info on these Engines.
I have found out a bit here and there, not as much as I wanna know but maybe this'll help.
Oil - Synthetic, they tend to use mineral oils up a bit especially after 100K and they run better, I use Shell helix ultra 5-40W. The filter you can look up in most catalogs, I get 'em from K-mart!
Plugs, supposed to be platinum ones but NGK makes copper ones that work at least as well if not better and are much cheaper Around $20 a set as opposed to around $100 a set (platinum will last 100k and copper 20k), if you really thrash it a lot then get one plug type colder than standard, any part shop should be able to help you with that.
Would love a service manual but the price is huge..
I have more info, anything specific?
I am looking too add all the info I can to my website asap.

I dont have that piece of paper with me, and i can't be stuffed finding it at this time of the nite, but i'll get back to it.
do u feel even more pull at around 5k+ rpm? my engine seems to start to even pull more at about there

Yep, I do. Around 5000 rpm, (at about 50% or above load I think) is where the TVIS System begins to operate, I've made a few small mods to the intake see http://www.crash.to/darkfire and now at 5k and pedal on floor I feel a small bump in the back kinda like secondaries opening on a carby, makes interesting sound too.
