Well, after all those posts and research form the forums I did with the help of you guys, none of it has paid off and my girlfirend is now the proud owner of a 1998 Excel. 
It has 100000kms, no power steering for her and two mother scratches on the back (fixable enough at least). On the upside, it has a 1596cc twin cam 16 valve fuel injected engine and is two door. Interesting to see how it'll stack up against eh AE92 4A-FC. I reckon she'll win, as much as I hate to admit. We'll see. Her throttle and clutch feel really sticky and dash seems a little rattly. Everything is stock standard. for 5100 bucks, it needs a service, badly, and a wheel alignment. Oh well. Smile, don't say anytjing and pretend to be happy for her.
