Urgent- HKS ext wastegate springs for diff psi? Fri, 17 January 2003 13:19 Go to next message
Put the car on the dyno for the first time today with the new setup in the new car.

The wastegate didn;t open whilst we were tuning it and the boost just skyrocketed!! 20psi and the 265's on the back smoked up on the dyno!

Loved it! But wasn't too amused with what had just happened with the new(secondhand) wastegate.

Anyone know where you can definitely get springs of different pre-tension for the HKS ext wastegates? Need to get one before sunday.

Or anyonw perhaps have a spare 32mm HKS ext wastegate????

Any help would be very appreciated!

Yep they are. Fixed it anyways, there was a hole in the diaphram and was some piping issues.

Wont take out there today cause the boost controller doesn't work. It will only run 7psi on the internal spring and the turbo is so big it's not even really working at that boost.

Gotta wait till i get her cranking at atleast 14psi. Very Happy
