Ae86 Rear Hatch Closing Problems

Anybody know or have come across there rear hatch not closing down all the way.
What i mean is thast when closed it sits up about 1/4" which in turn makes trhe gap bigger at the bottom to the rear tail lights.
I have tried adjusting the lock on the hatch and also the locking plate at the rear pannel with no luck.
Any ideas on this or how to fix it ????

mine got the same problem, i think its the replcement rubber stoppers and the latch position
mines all fucked up die to my car being a smashed up POS
i rekon its had about 3 good smashes! hahaha damn my lemon buying

Hi,
You can also play with the position of the hatch where in hinges to the 'roof'. Get that in the right place and then adjust the lock accordingly.
