the shims start from 1.75mm up to 3.20 mm for 18rg and cost about 12 dollars each so you need to buy a couple or what a friend of mine did was buy 8 from me and set it up to get the right sizes then send mine back for a change over

F*ck play around with the shims for an 18rg to hard to get a perfect gap you need a facing machine to grind the shims your better off taking the head to head reco shop an having it done.

I have damn near a full set of shims. Cost is $10 each. Let me know what thickness shims you require.

If you have no shims at all, you will need a test set to guage your clearances. 1 would do it if you have time to spare, but you will need one that is too small or ever so slightly too big for each valve, and then order the correct sizes accordingly.

It would be fine if I was in the same town or even state for u to do a test set up for me but Tasmania is a very long walk to where u r Laughing .Basically what would be good if someone wanted to sell me a stuffed head with shims or just the shims out of one but long as though they were packed together and marked which lot of shims came from what valves.
PLZ someone must have some lying around not being used and CHEAP.
Cheers Brett.

doesnt matter what valve from what head they are from. There was some motorbike they were the same as... cant remember which one, but i did see it once... probably on classic-celica.com

go and take the head to your local motorbike specialist, they may be able to figure out what ones you need. I might have a look out the back, dont think i have any spares tho.

Cheers, Owen
