vynal spray on early celica seats

Hi everybody!
i was wondering if anyone has used vynal spray on the seats and door cards?
I want to spray my seats white but i was wondering if the patterened plasticy bits in middle of the seats would absorb the dye?

i have used this and it has worked quit well, but i rubs of quite easily. i only used it on the rear seat, but i would have to recomed it.
