Hi people,
Got a 1ggte converted to single VG30 t3 steel wheel turbo. I am setting up the fuel system, and I am wondering what chocie i have for a cost efficient pre pump for the surge tank?
I am running 3/8 lines, with a bosch (vl turbo type) fuel pump, 1 litre surge tank. What pre pump should i use that is not excessive in price?
What has everyone else used? Where have you purchased yours from? Is there a cost efficient item I can get off the shelf?
Thankyou for your help.

your fuel setup sounds just like mine. i have a VL EFI pump and a 1 litre surge tank. for my lift pump i was using a 5psi carby pump which i paid $30 trade, they retail for about $50. this was fine supporting 200KW. however as i had the fuel from the return line runing back to the surge tank, i had fuel heating issues on hot days. the fuel would get hot causing the VL pump to die. so i got a bigger lift pump which could flow more than the VL pump and had the return line from the engine go to the tank instead. the lift pump was a high flow carter gold (cant remember specs) its way overkill and cost about $115. so now there is always cool petrol getting to the VL pump.
so i reccomend the carter gold, fairly cheap and flows shit loads.
