Hi guys and gals,
After recently acquiring a Subaru hatchback for myself and a Mazda for my wife, we are now in possession of 4 cars between the two of us!
2 cars have to go, one is the Starlet GT detailed below (the other is a 1995 MY06 Honda Civic automatic with ~ 111000kms and Honda completed log books, contact me for further details if you're interested in the Civic).
Full details about the Starlet and pics can be found at the original Prestige Motorsport site:
http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/?/au/stock/de tails.asp?StockID=2967
The car was landed for $5800, complianced for $2200, new Bridgestone tyres for $500, rego (until June 2006) + greenslip for $700, total = $9200
As you can see from the above, the had only completed ~ 39000 kms with log books, and currently has ~ 45000kms.
It still has the scrapes on the passenger side panels which I have not gotten repaired, the paint on the roof and the bonnet are sun-faded.
The engine and interior are immaculate, the exhaust however is rattly and may need replacement soon, and the airconditioning needs regassing.
I have a small box new bits and pieces which I ordered from Toyota, including new wiper arms (current ones are rusty), timing and alternator belts, and a new rear hatch rubber surround. These will be included with the sale. Also included is a brand new GReddy turbo timer (new in box).
Because of the scrapes and the exhaust, asking price is only $5500 ono!
Car is currently located in Newcastle, NSW.
Email me at peterp@gmp.usyd.edu.au or SMS/phone me on 0417068664.
Good luck in your search for a great car!
Peter

BUMP!
She's a great little machine and I'll be sad to see her go; if finances weren't so tight at the moment there's no way I'd be selling her!
As much as I'm loathe to admit it, the Starlet has been my favourite car to drive, even a little more than my prev twin-turbo JZA80 Supra or my current WRX hatch! That's prob bec I'm more of a small car person at heart, although I needed a car that's larger to be able to fit my dogs and bikes in, hence the WRX hatch.
For the couple of people in Sydney who are interested, I'll try to arrange for a drive down to Sydney in the next week or so.

Ummm, I'm pretty sure it's the standard 4E-FTE motor, the car is completely stock standard.

BUMP!
Still available my friends, it may be a stock car but it's dirt cheap, and in remarkable condition considering its low kms.
For a small car, it's got a lot of standard features that even modern small cars usually don't have, including air con, 4-wheel disc brakes, ABS, power windows and mirrors, fog lights, sway bar suspension, alloy wheels, and of course that wonderful turbo engine with top mounted intercooler.
The Starlet GT is one of those cars that you will never truly appreciate until you have owned one, it really is like a mini-WRX, right from its looks with the bonnet scoop and squared off headlamps with fog lights, to its lightening fast acceleration from the lights, and plenty of grunt when climbing those hills on the freeway around Gosford!
I was stuck in traffic in Newcastle a few months ago, and a parade of "Hot-4s" from Sydney was driving past, prob about 12 cars in all with their shinied up chrome rims and big exhausts; anyway, they ALL slowed right down to check out the Starlet, as if the'd all just seen an alien, I could almost read their collective minds saying "man, where do I get me one of those...!"
HPI magazine used one as a project car in their early days, and wouldn't stop raving about it; it officially is their most highly recommended small car, along with the Mazda Familia turbo.
It would make a terrific daily driver, or an awesome project car.
Here are some pictures of the Doobie Speed EP82 body kit, to whet your appetite:
