MA70 brake boosters and MA70 Diffs Sat, 03 December 2005 08:08 Go to next message
Hey guys,

i have two questions.

1) my brake booster on a turbo MA70 died and a bought a replacement from a non turbo MA70. Im wondering if anyone knows if its the same unit or if there will be any compatibility issues?

2) i am in the process of buying a TRD 2way LSD and am wondering if anyone knows if i can bolt the LSD center into a non LSD gear set? What about if a had a gearset from a torsen diff? are they compatible to replace the torsen LSD center with a clutch type? and the other thing is, what was the typical ratio for non turbo MA70s? (am wanting to get a better ratio than the G305, want something around 4.5-4.7 to compensate for the huge turbo).

Thanks Smile

Mark

The brake booster is the same,

As for the diff.... no idea!!! I doubt it would have been sold along if it didn't fit the stock gearset???

All G series centres are interchangeable, so yes you can use the TRD centre with your existing gearset.

I've got a 4.11 gearset I'd happily swap for the 3.73

The drive stubs/axles on the Torsen diff are not the same as the ones on the other style diffs
