A Friend of mine is wondering if would be possible (and what would be involved) with putting the 18RGEU head onto the 22RCE Block. Could anyone out there please tell me of any difficulties that he might face, especially if you have done this conversion.
His biggest concern at the moment is how to drive the cams as the water pump is in the way and the oil pump is driven off the cam chain as well.

from what ive gathered from these forums and other info on the net is that the 18R-G head will not go onto the 22R block, BUT the 18R-G block can be bored/stroked to 2.2 or 2.4 litres
