i have a AE80, which i am asuming is the first of the corolla's, i also believe the AE82 is the same shape but can anyone verify things for me...

first of the corrollas? dont think so bud, the first corrola was made in the 60s? KE10 rings a bell, but an anorak will be here shortly to confirm.
AE8 might be the first FWD corolla, which would make it the beginning of the end.

Wouldn't it going FWD make it the end of the end?
I suppose the AE86 was still RWD.. so I guess the AE92 would be the real end of the end.

What about the AE93 & AE94 and the AE101 & AE102 ?
I'm not sure but I'd guess that the AE80 is the earlier version of the AE82 - the way I think you can tell the difference is that the front corner parking lights aren't as long as the AE82 ones. (length being from front of car towards back of car )
Guesswork and am happy to learn otherwise.
So what do you want clarified ?

As far as I know:
AE80, 1.3l 2A engine, 8 valve
AE82, 1.6l 4A engine, 8/16 valve
EE80, 1.3l 2E engine, 12 valve
CE80, ??l 1C diesel engine

nup the ae80 was sold at the same time as ae82, the parker light change came around 86(i think it is just a later model addition just like 1/4panel repeaters on ae92) the only real way to tell if it is an ae80 or ae82 is to open the bonnet and look at the compliance plate or motor, although the mtoor look similar.

wow big responses... i just needed to know which are the same shape so when people are selling parts for an AE82, i know wether it will go onto my car
