Gen2 3SGE unstable idling.

Hi all,
i think my gen2 3SGE is having weird idling problems.
Mostly happens during a cold start, it will idle at 500-600rpm and the car feels like its about to die. however when the engine starts to gets warmer, it idles at 1Krpm and it occasionally idles at 500rpm from time to time when the engine is warm - hot.
What can be the cause of this?

I think having air pockets in the cooling system usually affects the idle. some people have exprienced simular problems after doing a coolant flush.

Also maybe your cold start switch could be on its way out, causing it to run lean and not idle properlly when cold-warm
|

Thanks guys, will clean the idle control valve tonight.
Its actually getting better as i drive it more
