If the batery was flat it'd atleast try to turn over wouldn't it?
Perhaps there is a loose connection to the starter motor, or the starter is totaly dead.

My battery went about 4 months ago, it'd run the auxillaries but wouldn't even turn the starter motor, not even a click or an errr from it. The car had started first thing the day before, just walked out the next day and bang nothing.
Voltage reading on it was pretty low it was faarked.

problem isnt sorted but this morning the car miracolously started after trying all yesterday with no success.
drove it straight to an auto electrician and left it with them, once there turned it off and went to start it again and same thing! its probably the ignition switch tho.
anyways sorry i didnt really explain myself very well as we'd eliminated everything liek flat battery and drive thingys before hand casue i typed it up in a major rush
thanks guys
