Hey all,
What are some of the differences between the JZZ30 Soarer and the JZA70 Supra?
I know they both have the same r154 gearbox and both have the 1jz-gte engine.
I also know that the Soarer weights around 1590kg and the Supra weights around 1500kg.
Whats in the Soarer that makes it heavy?
Apart from the looks between the two, what are the differences?
Which would be the better daily driver?

They are much oda muchnes really...
The soarer is more refined, but not quite as fun to drive.... but still awesome!!!!
I prefer the driving position in the a-70 supra, and the oldschool styling, but the soarer seems more... "indestructable"
I have had both and decided to stick with the supra!

although i haven't driven a manual JZZ30 i would any day of the week take the soarer over the A70 supra
It is just a nice refined car, minimal cabin noise but still reasonably powerful.
th z30 does feel heavy though admittedly and this is evident just looking at an open door on them (most complex door hinge i have seen in a while), they are bloody long and wide too so if you are afraid of parking in shopping centre car parks or city parking, this may become a big issue
the supra is fun and the chairs do hug you more but my persoanl preference for every day living with a car is the z30 soarer hands down.
note this was with an automatic soarer though.
