Question about AFM adjustment screw on AE86?!?! Sat, 08 June 2002 01:36 Go to next message
is it true that the adjustment screw on the afm should be all the way down in its stock setting. mine was 3/4 of the way up for some reason.....could this be a reason why i'm running rich? thanks.

the afm idle screw should not be completely closed or open. where are you rich? just at idle? or all the way thru the rev range? the greater the modification of the motor, the less the afm idle screw does.

to check rich condition, use meter or DVM on o2

if rich under cruise, light throttle. your prob is not the screw
