just one quick question..
would u know what kind of hoses are sufficient for oil cooler lines?
to be mated up to a 4agze block.
would rubber fuel lines do the job?
or do i need braided?

you running a pressurised or non-pressurised cooler?

if non pressurised, just normal rubber hose with utilux type hose clamps is fine. you might want some thermal insulation (thermal sleeve braiding) to protect the rubber from block radiant heat, but thats all.

as for pressurised, youll need propper pressure rated hose with propper fittings, and a cooler to suit. still doesnt have to be brainded line, but just pressure rated. again, some thermal insulation woulndt go astray.

cheers

Umm im not to sure whether its pressurised oil or not???.
Its basically the same setup as the 4age has with oil cooler.
The oil flows through a sandwich plate where oil filter is and is directed thru the oil cooler then cooled oil returns back into the oil sump.
I think this is how my intended setup works.
Would it be pressurised since already passing thru the oil pickup and pump?

Last time I asked about an oil cooler, Fabre were recommending I use braided hoses.

If it's through a sandwich plate on the filter then it's under pressure, not return. You don't need braided hose but I would recomend "oil ooler hose" Like most hose it has braid embeded inside the rubber. Try at your local enzed or pirtek and get some hyraulic hose. It's more than enough for the temp, oil and pressure. Next time you see one on the road pull them over or call the mobile on the van. The mobile guys usually have offcuts I've bought cheap in the past. They can even crimp the fittings for you if needed.

Dont foget to add enough extra oil to your car to account for what will sit in the cooler and lines!
