Covers for 1UZ Thu, 23 January 2003 05:32 Go to next message
I need some of the covers for my 1U which weren't supplied with the engine (and the import dealer wont supply them now Mad

They are:
The covers which run along the top of the fuel rails either side of the plenum and hide the injectors/wiring
The cover which goes across in front of the plenum and covers the coil leads where they cross-over
Screws/bolts for same
Also, if someone can find these, can they find an LHS lead cover (passenger's side) - the one that says "V8 Four Cam 32", as I'd like to modify this to fit on the RHS, which has a black cover with no writing...
Does anyone know of a wrecker or someone who will sell engine components, rather than just whole engines?

Thanks in advance

Yes, I've debated going that route...however, I'd like the "cleaner" look if possible...

I'll use the cover (from the '94-on models, FYI) as a last resort.

My location is ACT.

However, I am prepared to pay (reasonable) freight for the parts so, if you're some distance away, don't let that concern you unduly...

PM me with details of what you have, how much $ etc.

Regards,

Michael
Have you tried Neil in Queanbeyan? He's got a couple of spare 1UZ's - one of which is parted from memory.
