i have a 1g-gte in a 1988 supra would dropping a 1jz into it give good hp verse the money forked out for the conversion? or would it make more sense just to mod like crazzzzy the 1g-gte? just looking for opinions at the moment [Report message to a moderator]

That really comes down to a few things: How much you want to spend, and can you spend it all at once? How much grunt you looking for? How much can you do yourself? What condition is your present engine in? [Report message to a moderator]

If you were gonna spend big money, it's better off to get the 1JZ-GTE. The 1G is too small for such a heavy car. You need the extra torque from the additional 500cc... I'm talking about drivability on the street here, not ultimate top end power. [Report message to a moderator]
