FS: Fully rebuilt T50 gearbox Thu, 23 January 2003 13:39 Go to next message
I have a fully rebuilt T50 gearbox from a TA22 for sale.
All new bearings, gaskets and seals. Asking $250 to someone in Adelaide.
I was going to use it behind my 3T GTE.

nah...different bellhousing from 't' series, to 'a' series, and different again if you have a 4age....

not much hassle to change a bellhousing though...

there's a lot more to it than the bellhousing. both the input and output shafts are different splines, and the shifter position is different...
the celica box is weaker than the sprinter's,and not a bolt in fit in any sense of the word.

actually, you're right about the output shaft, but not the input shaft. I once had a KE-30 with a 4a-gze that constantly spat gearboxes, and had two tailshafts to fit the two gearbox types, but I was able to use the same clutch each time....

just wish i coulda found a jap-spec box at the time....
