I finally got myself a toyota
it is a '86 Twin Cam Seca with pwr steer
paint work is very faded
man, i can believe how sweet the car is to drive
gearshift is quick and smooth, engine is smooth and revvy and nice handling characteristics
and i got it for $1100!!!!

the car will need a bit of work.... but it is the 2nd car.... so i won't be depending on it everyday
oh well it is my project car... and i will be able to seriously spend some money once we have bought out residence
can anyone help me with tyres? what have you got on your 14inch stock alloys? was thinking on putting on some 18560R14 goodyear f1

picked it up today and have been cruisin' around...........
needs a serious polish............ and tyres.......... and etc
oh well, it is fun to get my hand dirty once again 
new cars are a little boring... 
prob.... tailgate wouldn't close.... so i bashed it with a hammer... voila...
car seems to be stalling.... pulled out dipstick... no oil.... topped up... runs beautifully,
still stalling.... not sure what is wrong.... i now find my heel and toe method handy 
oh well, new tyres on tuesday and take it for a pink slip inspection....
will have to see how i go

thanks for askin' ollgt...
just got my pink slip from the dodgy guy down the road ... and now it is ready for rego............ phew!
got some new tyres put on....
things done so far....
tailgate... used hammer to bash it into place... now works perfectly
bonnet latch.... after some serious WD40 sessions... the bonnet will now latch and unlatch as it should
1x polish with red T-cut.... surprised with how good the results were
speakers... rattling noise from the rear was a loose speaker jumping around on the parcel shelf support.... i screwed it back in and connected it up... now works a treat
body... fish oiled a few rusty spots... considering to get the rust cut out and new bumpers put on???? any one got some OE '86 model bumpers lying around? anyone know a good smash repairer who does cash in hand work?
fixed up the idle... car was stalling all the time before... now it is sweet
did an oil change.... and air filter.... left the oil filter until i work out a way to get to the bastard!!!
new tyres... alignment.... and found out there is a leaky CV boot.. soon to be replaced
to do:
more t-cut polish
fix up rust
seems there is a pretty major oil leak under the car... can't really find it though..... also concerned about the timing belt... anyone know how to check the timing belt (how do you know it is on the way out??) and any good toyota mechanics around???
