cold chisel and hammer will work, but be patient.

otherwise, weld a nut to it, or a bit of square tube. something you can get a grip on with a socket or shifter.

done it before, all you need is some very good vice grips, those big buggers like plumbers use and undo it like that, if its too tight heat the nut up till its red hot with an oxy then use vice grips and it will come off as easy as piss.

otherwise if all else fails, chissel, big sledge hammer and break the stud then just put a new stud in.

1:Get a Socket that fits (23 or 24 should do) from your toolbox, 2:Get a hammer bang it on,
3:Get your socket wrench and undo.

4:Try get lock nut out off socket.

I had this problem with my wheels when I needed to change em, so I rang my Brother Inlaw and he came round in the BMW service car and had it off in no time.

I had the same problem once when i needed to change a tyre after having severe traction problems once (probly something to do with the G-clamps on my back brake lines) took it to a tyre place and the guy got out a cold chisel and a largish hammer. he hit the chisel into one side of the top of the nut then repositioned the chisel in the gouge he had made and then knocked it undone.
