	| Quick Question: 3T into a TA22 | Sun, 26 January 2003 09:16 | | |
	| Does the 3t engine bolt straight into the TA22? What about the t 50 gearbox? If not how much custom fabrication is needed if too much i will just find a 2t engine to bolt in.
 Thanks

 Daniel

	| the 3tgteu is not a straight bolt in, i know of two people that have 2t's for sale. 1: 2tgeu minus efi replaced with twin solex carbs, complete with gearbox and starter running just needs new distributor shaft as one side is worn.
2: 2tgeu complete with full harness, afm, computer, starter motor and gearbox less clutch.

if your interested let me know.
 cheers

	| or if you mean the 3t twin carby 1600 like the 2t just with the twin carby manifold, then that is just a straight bolt in. i used to have one in my ta22, they are not worth the amount of petrol they use, you are way better off getting a good 2tg/2tgeu, you will be way better off proformance wise and economy is similar. | 3T bolts straight into a TA22, 3TGTE has oil line problems with the mounts. Also its a straight swap with engine numbers, or at least it is here in SA. Gearbox, clutch, flywheel all bolt on/interchangable. its all good.
Definately go for a 2TG over a 3T, they are smoother, newer, and much more reliable, well most anyway. The EFI 2TGEU is much easier to drive (don't get bogged down all the time).
