Has anybody done a 3SGTE (or 3SGE) conversion to their AE82? What kind of power output did you get?

Ask mikey hes got a 3sgte in his ae82 unless u got access to alot of tools and welding equipment etc etc and loads of time on ur hands and patients dont bother. He was at dyno day 144KW at the wheels very impresive, but ud want to expect it from the amount of work involved in that conversion.

mikey was telling me how alot of people stuff the mounts up and are continually redoing em, after seeing his dyno run I'd beleive it.. that motor just wanted to lift itself out of that engine bay.

The 3S-GTE(without all the bolt ons) is about the same weight as a 2T

Obviously the front:rear weight distribution won't be perfect, but if set up right the car can still handle OK. And for the record, Mikey's car handles the Old Pac really well.

dead std jap spec st185 engine will make you around 115kw @ wheels in an ae82...
mine made last 148.2kw @ wheels with 3" exhaust, pod filter (no room for airbox), std ecu, largish front mount cooler, 14.5psi boost
so reasonable
and it handles alright, you just have to set the car up with a stiffer rear end. you dont build a fwd with big hp to handle heaps well heheh, it just doesnt work right, especially with a bigger heavier engine.
It weighs around 30kg more than a 4AG i think.
