rt132 Struts - worth buying for upgrade?

Found a set of good condition rt132 struts /hubs/ calipers at the local wreckers - guy wants $130 for them
is it worth buying - or still looking out for xt130 Struts?
Not sure which one is more ideal to use in a ta22 conversion - seeings both have to be shortened anyway
Still has the 2 pot sumitubo calipers too

I reckon you should be able to get them for cheaper than that. I've bought 2 seperate single struts in the last 2-3 weeks, & was charged $30 for each.

guys.. which should i be aiming for?? the RT132 or the XT130? is there a difference in the two struts? how much has it affected the wheel track and required offset for mag wheels?
i know these are annoying questions, but im going to the wreckers on thursday and i want to get some info before i spend another 40+degree day out in the open wrecking yard!

karl, the important thing is that you measure the bolt holes and get a strut with 90mm spacing between the two caliper mounts

i was told ( this is what i am doing) if ya use the hilux calipers with peugueot rotars and XT130 you will get fwd offset
so when ya go diff shopping try and get one a little longer so it will be fwd offset also

I'd say you'd be pretty correct with the fwd offset thing. I bought some rims for a celica of mine and they were fwd offset, requiring 25mm!!! spacers to fit them on. However i put them on my standard XT130 Corona and all i needed was 5mm spacer and they were perfect. So i'd say mucking around with the fwd disks and 4wd calipers, you'd be looking at a very fwd-oriented setup.

Thats right, i measured the offset the other day on the xt130 struts that i bought and they were an extra 20mm.

Ok - read thru the guides posted on toymods main page - they sorta specify more to RA celicas ( ie the just bolts in bit )
but i know for a ta22 the strut has to be shortened to fit right - HENCE my question - are these ones worth buying specifically for a ta22 upgrade - how much do i have to cut off - and would i need or bother with changing the rotors, pads.hubs already on them for a simple twin pot upgrade - Not looking to do the full pug rotor hilux caliper thing YET - but if i had the strut already - would the rt132 strut , shortened and fitted , in the ta22 be a good basis
Also - do you need to swap the steering arms/ball joints for the ta22 swap

gidday
I have run both rt132 and xt130 struts. As far as I can see there is no difference.
Mine is also on a ta23 - which runs the same original struts as a ta22 - that is 20mm shorter than the ra as they have 13" wheels rather than 14". I would not go to the bother of shortening them - rather adjust the spring height.
