Generally no once a battery is no longer capable of taking a charge either the electrolyte is dead or u have twisted plates. There are products out there that claim to revive batteries but I wouldn't waste my money. The average life of a car battery is only about 5-7 yrs anyway . Running lead acid completely flat ain't good either they're generally not deep cycle batteries unless they're leisure batteries for caravans and stuff

Mate, If you have to buy a new battery and want a really good one go for a Optima. It may cost a little more than an Odyssey, but you'll never regret it (unless it falls out of your battery compartment and gets chewed up by the alternator, as happened to me!) I went straight out and bought another. You can never have too much battery grunt..

Id bite the bullet and buy a new one, once you have dischared a lead acid accumulator, they are stuffed. These batteries claim to have deep discharge but i would not believe it. I you did not want to pay $250 for a new battery, why not just spend $150 on a decent quality century or marshall.

I'm pretty sure odysey dont make lead acid batteries mate. Is it completely sealed? If so it's not usually lead acid. Exide evolution make quite a good battery that's not too expensive.
You have to go by the CCA rating on the battery, dont go by size or "super heavy duty will suck you off too" battery. Cold cranking amps rating is the only way.
Exide evolution batteries are high capacity for their size. Mines 550CCA which is pretty beasty.

Some of the oddessy batteries are lead acid and some variety's are dry cell!! I am getting the optima for my car which is 1100CCA!!!!!! Its a tad over $300 but worth every penny. If the oddessy is no longer holding charge dont even bother with it. Go buy a new one the same ,keep the reciept and take the old one back a week later!!!
