Crashed my celica! it's a write off!

Well. It has happened. My celica was crashed last night and looks to be a write off. I almost cried when it happened.
It happened while i was turning a corner. This guy in a triton ute didn't stop at the stop sign and we cleaned each other up.
Myself and my gf and fine as is the other driver.
I am terribly disapointed tho. After 3 1/2 months wait to get it back after the engine conversion i only had it for 2 months.
I would be fine with her destruction if i had have been at fault but i wasn't and am really pissed.
Grrrrrrrrr.
So ladies and gentlemen. I am after another celica probably in a week or 2. Maybe a supra. Any sugestions about cars in the brisbane area welcome.
I should hopefully get some pix up somewhere soon if yas wanna look.

We both had full comprehensive.
Mine is insured for market value plus the mods.
So i should get close to a good value.
Hopefully 8-10 grand.

condolances dude - sad to see another celica that had love put into it reduced to a wreck by another dickhead driver
I hope the good bits you put into it are salvagable - and wish you luck in getting another celicabeast on the road ..
Anything we can do to help - just ask - ( ie looking for a new project or parts )
On a note - if the engine/drivetrain is salvageable - i know of a Ra23 setup in the melbourne trady post - setup for a 4agze ( though you could swap this to a 1ggte ) Brakes are done - though im not sure of the diff side of things
he wants $1500 for it - maybe a body for your great engine package ??
if you want the Ph number just ask ..

drive train looks ok but i haven't had a good look yet.
Will probably get some extra money together and go the 1jz supra
i can get a 94 soarer worth $20000 for 15 if i want it.
I would like an ra28 tho and swap the engine into it.
Now that would be sweeeeet.

On another note....
Thats really crap man. you put soo much effort, and money, into that car, and this is what you get, some dickhead who cant drive, ruins your pride and joy. I feel sooo sorry for you man. If someone did that to my car.......they'd feel my pain, trust me. I may be small but i pack a punch or 15. lol
Anyway, my condolences, and i'll hopefully talk to you soon.

very greatly appriciated.
I will probably buy the wreck back off the insurance mob so i will probably have a 1ggte engine, 3" exhaust and apexi air filter for sale.
As well as the mags and other internal stuff.
Engine i think was a gen 2 but it only has about 50K on it.
Intercooler is gone. Radiator is a little bent but should be easy to fix. Is a custom 3 core out of a commie.
I will list everything else for sale if i decide to buy it back.

That sux man, really sorry to hear that.
I know just how you feel though. My celica should be coming home in the next few days (yaaay!) from the panel beaters after some dick stacked into me.
Just be glad you & the other driver were insured, I don't have comprehensive & the guy that hit me had nothing, & now it's a shit fight trying to get the cash off him.

I'm starting to get worried, Thats three early celica's crashed in the space of a couple of months. 
It sux when you crash a car and it sux ten-fold when you have spent time and money creating something special and someone takes it all away from you in the blink of an eye. I feel for you mate.
I hope things get sorted out quickly and smoothly with the insurance.
Get the wreck back if you can, After all the time and money doing the conversion, it is a waste to let it all go when you can chuck it all into another shell. If you are interested in a TA22, I know where there is one on Sydney that might be for sale.
Hope it all goes well and your back in 1G bliss soon.

OK thanx again ppl.
It is really starting to hit me now exactly what has happened.
The amount of time and custom work i put into her is all totally wasted now.
I think i will buy the wreck back and offer all the parts cheap to you guys who also need them.
I am now looking for an import jza70 supra with a auto. If anyone knows where there is a good one for sale let me know please.
Preferably with a body kit and large mags.

Hey guys and girls,
A driver ran into my toyota seca, and I can't get in touch touch with her. She left her phone number but won't answer. I only have her number plate, licence number and phone number. I only have third party insurance so my insurance won't help me. Tried police RTA and SMS with no luck. Any advice would be appreciated. The number plate of offending driver is qtv570 daewoo cielo.

Also you insurance company will help you.
If she turns around and says it was your fault, her insurance company will be after your insurance company.
Fill out an accident report at the cop shop, go to you insurance company and fill out what ever paper work, or phone survey thingo.

The police said they don't have the resorces to help if no one was injured or drove away without stopping. I think it is because there is no money to be made out of this kind of thing and they don't consider it a seroius crime not to take responsibility for what you have done. I mean why waste time helping people when they could be making money defecting cars, trying to catch drink drivers and hunting down drivers exeding the speed limit. And these freekin privicy laws protecing the guilty just ticks me of.

umm i don't think they will, not for 3rd party anyway. I have been in the exact same position, ended up fixing damages myself because other dirver did not respond to anything and claimed it was my fault in the end!
Police won't do anything, as you said the damages seem pretty small.
If you had full insurance they'd fire her ass. I say, just find a friend of a friend who works at the RTA or NRMA and do a chec on rego, knock on their door and say hello
