2TG Timing Chain Rattle. Help Please! Wed, 29 January 2003 06:08 Go to next message
Hi i wanted some help with my 2TG. There is a rattle which i'm sure is coming from the timing chain. On the drivers side there seems to be an externat tensioner or something. Does anyone know if i am correct, if not will the motor need to come out?

If your correct and it is the timing chain the motor should need to come out. however it could be more than just or external tensioner. it could be teeth missing from cogs, the chain is damaged or stretched, the guide could be worn to low or broken. or you might not have any oil pressure.
