yes can get, will need to ship over, what grind and type of gears ie. vernier/fixed ect
can get anything u want and need

was thinking vernier cam gears and cams prob as much lift and duration as can go with standard shim setup, have programmable ecu. prob 288 degree.
where do you get them from?

can get abit more go with standed shims, if u want to go wild u will have to change shims
if no change of shims, lucky to get extra 20hp depending on other mods, if change shims can up to extra 50hp
can get cams from nz

it's been recently rebuilt, ported head, new valves and springs, shaved head, new rings and bearings bottom end,
how much is shim under, was thinking to keep cheap as possible, budget for cams and gears...

ok, $400 a cam whatever spec u want, and $35 a shim (normal), or trd hi rev shims $120 each

what about cam gears? and whats the difference between the normal shims and trd shims?

If you are looking to change your shims to TRD style you could give this guy a try http://www.precisionshims.com.au/. I emailed him and he was very helpful. He is mostly motorbike but remember Yamaha has a big say in most toyota heads anway. HE said he could make something work.

yes thats 400 per cam, still pricing cam gears.
normal toyota shims sit on top of bucket, trd shim and bucket sets, shims sit under buckets witch allows higher rpm due to shims cant fly out, recommend trd valve springs (gauranteed 10,000 rpm with this set up)

depending on the grind severity of the cams you will need to change the shims anyway , if you just want a mild increase i can get cams ground to match your original shim settings , any more than about a 20% increase in lift and duration will mean you need to reset the shim thicknesses to suit the new profile , adjustable vernier cam pulleys , can do for around $300 each with max 40 degree adjustment using original gear sets (i have) , hope this helps , any other questions please dont hesitate to ring me on mobile 0402376020
