Where the hell did they manage to sneak a Mega Cruiser out of Japan????? I thought the Japanese govt classified them as military vehicles so they can't be exported.

Brings back memories. (only yesterday though).
Was a great day, I was glad I went. That camry was nicer in person. I'm surprised you didn't take a shot of all the old rolla's there. Or the sweet sweet sweet lexus'.

Lots of pics there, but it would've been nice to see some of the early KE-10 Corolla's ... and the fou AE-86's that showed up, too.

feral4mr2 wrote on Mon, 10 June 2002 3:57 PM | yep, twas not a bad day, good to see the different makes and models turn up (plus some i've never heard of(the really old ones.)) i got home about 2pm this arvo, not a bad drive home, i pity the people heading into brissie though, might be a few traffic jams. btw, who's the broad in front of the yellow mr2???????heheheheeeee
|
Drive home was fine for me. Even though there was much more traffic on the way home, (damn camping show was on at the ekka grounds), I got home faster than I got there. No stops on the bridge for jumpers on the way home.
Oh yea, that land cruiser with the wooden job was pretty good too. Looked like a trooper carrier in the back.

It didn't have any mattress or floorings in the back though. Must like it rough.
I don't know if the owner of that is a reader here, but what would be perfect for that would be a fridge/esky right down the middle of it.

well, there would be plenty girlie stains all over it if it were mine. yes a small bar fride would be nice in one corner, need as much space as possible for the mattress, cause you'll have more fun on it than whats in the fridge!

i would just file down the cam covers and put toyota/twin cam on em, with liquid steel, paint em, and tell everyone it a new toyota import motor. everyone has a preference to different makes of motor though.

I dont have anything against Nissin engines, But there is a wide range of Toyota engines to choose from for a conversion. Just my opinon, and nothing is meant by it! And just to be clear, i'm not putting any crap on the owner. Its good to see another clasic Celica getting around.

You just cant beat the Celicas
Also Norbie, You dont have all those pictures in a zip file i can download do you? Makes it easier for me and other people on dialup! Tis why i made my pictures so small!

Half of those pics were taken with my Kodak DC215. The other half were taken by my friend's far superior Canon G2 which he just picked up in HK for some ridiculous price. Bastid!
As for zipping my pics, I can't see the point when they're already in JPG format (ie heavily compressed). Trying to compress a JPG results in larger file sizes more often than not!

Sorry Norbie, I should of been more clear! When i say zip the files, i did'nt mean to make them smaller! I meant so we could download all the pictures at once! Makes it easier than downloading them all individually.
