Hey all, a few weeks ago i put my map sensored 4agze from a ae101 levin into my mr2. anyways, all was going well, the other day driving home, pulled up at a set of lights, the check engine light came on, no boost from the charger but could still drive slowly.
I got home, checked the diagnostic codes and no code, the light stayed on. After disconnecting the ecu the car would run fine, then the light would come on again, and no boost. Sometimes it will go for half an hour then stuff up or about 2 mins then the lights on again. I thinking its the knock sensor, causing limp mode. What does anyone think?

i'm not sure what type of diagnostics the ae101 ze has, if it it differnt to the aw11 ze or not, i am certain mine doesnt have a limp mode...
i have had my knock sensor break and be disconnected and it didnt effect my engines running...
i only ever i had the check engine light come on and stay on after i did the engine transplant. i could not find anything wrong, no codes. it didnt stop the blower from producing boost at all..and eventually it just went away..
the ae101 limp mode could be stopping the s/c clutch from engageing?
