Thats about the figure that some of the Gen3 1GGTE's have put out on stock turbos on 14psi...I don't really see the point of the single-turbo conversion, that sacrifices some low end power/torque, yet doesn't make up for it somewhere else.

A 7M-GTE CT26 should be capable of 300 rwhp, which I'm sure is a lot more than the stock twins can flow. I expect there would be a fair amount of lag though; it has a pretty big exhaust housing for a 2 litre engine.
A 3S-GTE CT26 probably wouldn't be laggy, but I don't think this would be much of an improvement on the stock twins.

I was lucky they were on the engine, and I've only seen one other pair. Basically, after filtering through the Japlish (or Engrish as Nark calls it ) that spewed out when using Babelfish on the Blitz site, they are high-flowed and strengthened CT12's, and they bolt onto the original manifold.
Should be fun...when the bloody engine comes Which is hopefully today.

i think u might find that the ct12's can and do run 14psi all day everyday. Lots of ppl on here run them at 14psi without problems.
I think someone is running them at 16psi for 2 years now without a problem.
Where did u get the blitz turbo setup from frank ???
how long ago. I just missed out on a set with engine in a front cut about 6 months ago.
Brett.

CT12's don't have the fragile ceramic wheels of the 1JZGTE's CT12A's. They are small, so they may not be efficient at 14psi, but I haven't heard of someone destroying them.
I bought the engine complete with the Blitz turbos from Japanese Motorsport in Adelaide. I put the deposit on it at the start of November and paid it off half way through January.

I hate un-informed ppl getting on here and talking bout shit they know NOTHING about.
Daemoin,
I ran my TT's on 14psi, all day, every day for nearly 18 months, with absolutely NO problems. And they are still in excellent working order. I know of a few other ppl doing the same thing, and also having no problems.
A single turbo 1G would be PHAT. That is the path i will be taking once i have reached the maximum ability of the new TT setup.
Go for a 5-600hp GT30 or GT30/35.
Fuck lag when you have the top end not to care about it!!!

I was thinking maybe at getting a Garrett GT25R, rated to 450hp when I've found the limits of the Blitz turbos.

If you're going for a big turbo, it's best to get a rollerbearing turbo. This will cut down the lag.
But money comes into the equation then... They're rather expensive... And can't be rebuilt.
