AE101 Trueno had the twin piston with the super struts.

AE101 Levin is your standard AE101 that most importers import.

cause blacktops are Wayyyyyyy overpriced for what you get...
a little more compression is the only difference between the silver and the black..
Not worth the extra dollars..
Thanks for all who replied..

i kinda got here late but i wanted to put in my 2cents.

Get a compression test on the 20v! i would recommend it or next best thing is to get them to start the car for you!

National trucks had the best price, but they wouldn't start it and let me do my own compression, which i found both the engines they had were dodgy.

I instead got mine from Just Japs in lansvale
They started the car and had a compression test on the top of the engine!

btw.. i got a levin & i got twin piston capliers also so it's not just the trueno.

One other thing i got a boss kit + original toyota momo steering wheel + gear shifter. (You know its original as it has momo badging with the toyota badging!!!!!)

Corvid: just jap at kirrawee currently have 2 20v's in, an auto and a manual.

there going for about $2000

limbi: wonder if it was an option or upgraded later on, maybe even a sports/limited edition etc. levin model.

interesting.

Corvid,
Yes The blacktops are way over priced considering I got my Blacktop Two years ago for $3000 (Just Jap, Lansvale), and for some reason (most likely exhange rates) the price has gone up! But they are very different on the inside to that of a Silvertop. Much lighter internals, different pistons, lighter flywheel, bigger valves, larger ports and throttles are just a few things... and they tear the balls off a Silvertop anyday!Very Happy 6-spd also makes a huge difference too! Then again the Extra saved could be put into a Silvertop to make it go just as hard.
