Nah, bought this one for the Blitz turbos Should be nice.
The seats are whats going in, adpating them to the original seat rails.
As for the mounts, I'm not really worried about them...my car came with a 1G, so it makes it really easy.
I'm more annoyed now at having to chase up ECU and AFM

Hey ... reminds me of my engine when I got it ...
I know it sucks having to look for the AFM ... ECU not much of a problem provided you have the funds for an aftermarket computer however tuning costs certainly blow the budget.
Quick question, I've also been eyeing the OBX seats but how much they cost you and are they ADR compliant?
Good luck with the conversion. Hope it all goes smoothly!
Cheers!

I bought an ECU and AFM with the engine, so I'll be F**KED if they aren't going to send me one
The OBX seats are really nice. I paid $400 each, and yes they are ADR compliant...and that other standard as well...

I paid $2000 for engine package (engine, gearbox, all the wiring and acessories), and then $200 for freight to Perth. It has a pair of Blitz modified CT12 turbos which I have since found through the Blitz Website to be worth around $2500-2600 when new.
As for the seats, my particular XX came with Celica-style seats, no Supra ones, sorry

Thats where i bought my 7mgte from, they are a bit slack some times but generally pretty helpful. Have you rung them and asked where the ecu and afm are? if not you should, tell them about the dizzy as well.
Ive found theyre generally better if you talk to them face to face as well so if they give you too much trouble I can probably go in and chat to them for you.

Nah, its cool. I worked out what was wrong with it and sent them an e-mail what I need.
Lets see how that goes. Kinda hard being all the way over here, but it'll get sorted in the end.

At least you got it from JMS ... the original 4AGE engine I ordered from them had a knock in it however they honoured their warranty and sent me another 4AGE engine FOR FREE.
I did lose money having to install the engine twice however the damage would've been a lot worst if they didn't send me the replacement engine.
You will probably find that they did not send you the ECU or sensor as they have a 1 month start-up warranty. This means that they hold the ECU until you have installed everything else so that they know the date from which you start breaking in the engine.
Word of warning though ... my engine originally was missing the 4AGE MAP sensor and when I asked, they sent me the wrong one. I ended up having to get it from a scrapyard but I still have the one they sent me. I'm not sure what engine it came from however it says on the sticker from left to right, top to bottom:
SENSOR ASSY, TURBO PRESSURE
TOYOTA
89420-14020
100798-0890
5V Made in Japan
Not sure if this suits your engine but if it does, it's for sale.
Cheers!

If thats the case, its nice of them to tell me that...
So they wait until you have installed it all, then they send you the AFM and ECU and your warranty starts from then? They kept giving me the impression that it was from when I got it.
Ah well, gotta wait to see what they say about the e-mail I sent them...there are still other things wrong with it that I can't use it without.

Well ... JMS told me that that was the arrangement with them however they did send the ECU when I specifically requested that they hold it until I had everything installed.
But that didn't seem to matter ... it took me 3 months to get around to installing it and even then, they honoured the warranty. Still, I believe that they 'knew' something was wrong with the engine.
At any rate, if the engine does not work, you will still be covered by an implied warranty under the Sale of Goods Act (SA) that the goods be in a fit condition for the purpose they are to be used for.
I'll still call Richard or Ben though at JMS and advise them that those parts are missing.
Good luck!

Thanks bro!
All of my correspondance with them so far has been through e-mail, so thats the way I sent the one last night. I will contact them by phone if I don't get a reply tomorrow. I just don't want it to seem like they are being harassed.
